Did you know that it is possible to have a golf cart that is
street legalthat is, which is allowed to drive on public
roads? The law states that an electric vehicle that does
not exceed 25 miles per hour can be driven on any street
where the speed limit does not exceed 35 mph. The vehicle must be
equipped with standard car safety equipment, of course, including
lights and signals, a horn, seatbelts, and an approved windshield and
wiper. In addition you will need a license and registration for your vehicle.
But virtually any late model Club Car®with the right modificationscan be
made street legal and used to drive around the community.
